A Little About Us

Jake and Claire began dating in April of 2017 when they saw each other out with friends in their hometown of Frederick, MD. Despite knowing each other through grade school, they never had much interaction until that night. Once they started talking, it seemed as though they never stopped from that point forward.

Their first date was in Outer Banks, North Carolina when they realized their family vacations overlapped by one day. With a shared passion for good mexican food, they decided to meet at a cozy taco spot (unaware that the establishment had no air conditioning). Despite the scorching heat of summer, the lack of cool air became a humorous backdrop to a date that marked the beginning of something truly special. Through Jakes years in the military their relationship consisted of fun adventures to Kansas City and Columbia, South Carolina - exploring new restaurants and finding time to be together whenever and wherever they could. 

After Jake's service in the United States Army came to an end, he moved to Washington D.C to be closer not only to Claire, but also family and friends. Through these years the couple spent time creating lasting memories with each other, family and friends.  They have supported each other through life's ups and downs, celebrating each other's successes and provided unwavering support during challenging times. Jake and Claire cannot wait to embark on the next chapter of their lives together, as they continue to build a future filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams.
